Alcatel Placement Papers

Alcatel is one of the leading industrial companies of France. The company supplies high end equipments for many telecommunication networks all over the globe. Almost all the sales of the company come from transmission systems and network switching for both wireless and line networks for enterprises and carriers. The company also offers services as the supplier of communication cable, cell phones and equipments for satellites. Transport equipments for automation and a full range of other services are also provided by Alcatel. European telecom giants like Deutsche telecom and Orange are some of the clients of Alcatel. In the year 2006 the company went to acquire lucent technologies for around $13.4 billion.
The pattern of the selection test of the company is given below:
There are two parts in the test of duration one and a half hour each.
In the first part there are 120 questions. The durations of this part is 1:30 hours. The number of technical questions is 60 while 60 questions are from aptitude.
In part two the number of questions is 90. 30 questions are from C. Questions from C++ and Java is also 30 in number.
The written test is followed by an interview.
