The natural science that deals with the study of heavenly bodies as well as the phenomena that occurs outside the atmosphere of the earth is called as Astronomy. The basic criterion required for one to pursue a course in astronomy is a pass in class 12.  Once they complete their graduation (B.Sc Astronomy/Astrophysics), students can specialize in astronomy.
